When is it safe to schedule an allo-HSCT after COVID-19 infection?
Christopeit states that we should schedule allo-HSCT as late as possible. He then provides data on overall survival for patients with cancer following COVID-19 detection, and the relationship between immunocompromised hosts and time of being infectious. He concludes with the UKE Hamburg experience, a study investigating the safety of allo-HSCT transplant following intensive conditioning in patients with previous COVID-19.
