EHA 2019 | How have survival rates of AML changed over time?
At the 24th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA), Gunnar Juliusson from the Lund University, Sweden (SE), discusses how survival rates of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) changed over time.
Dr. Juliusson and colleagues retrospectively analyzed changes in survival of patients with AML from 1997 to 2016. This study aimed to identify and characterize patient subsets who showed greatest improvement. The study group found that improved survival is restricted to ages 50-75 years.
